New range of home accessories



dāram launches a range of contemporary hand crafted home accessories incorporating traditional Indian craft techniques from 'Then & Now.

'Then & Now'was set up by Uma Tewari in 2009 in New Delhi. Uma Tewari has seven to eight years’ experience working with crafts persons through Dastkar, New Delhi.

The primary objective of 'Then & Now' is to bring traditional craft skills into our homes and allow it to live in accessible, utilitarian home accessories.

Made primarily of wood incorporating different painting styles, hand block printing and engraving, the techniques applied are of:

Madhubani, Bihar
Gond, Madhya Pradesh
Kalamkari, Andhra Pradesh
Patachitra, Orissa
Sanjhi, wooden toys and wood carving of Uttar Pradesh

The home accessories available include:
Mirrors
Lamp shades and lamp stands
Shelves
Trays and Coasters
Pen stands and Paper stands
