We have moved...

Benaras saree exhibition

dāram has moved to a new place and has stored up a dazzling celebration for dussehra!

We are now at

1-10-3/1, Boorugu Viha
Lane next to Andhra Bank, Near Prakash Nagar
Opp: Old Airport Lane, Behind Bottles & Chimney
Begumpet, Hyderabad – 500016
(Just across the road from our old location)

To kickstart this new beginning, dāram has a shimmering drape of Benarasi weaves for Dussehra.

This exhibition of Benarasi silk saris has been crafted by weaver Zaheer Ansari who has been working on the loom since childhood. The textile industry of Benaras has ancient origins, rooted in the past. The saris woven on the indigenous looms are exquisite and resplendent, by any standard.

In the practice of his art, Zaheer Ansari has had an active interest in new ideas and has, concurrently, introduced new patterns into his weaves.

The exhibition at dāram offers a peek into the range and depth of Zaheer’s creative zeal.

Do be a part of it! The store would be open all seven days a week till Diwali.
